1978 Astronaut Candidate Capcom Briefing in Mission Control
NASA Astronaut Group 8 was a group of 35 astronauts announced on January 16, 1978. It was the first NASA selection since Group 6 in 1967, and was the largest group to that date. The class was the first to include female and minority astronauts; of the 35 selected, six were women, one of them being Jewish American, three were African American, and one was Asian American. Due to the long delay between the last Apollo lunar mission in 1972 and the first flight of the Space Shuttle in 1981, few astronauts from the older groups remained, and they were outnumbered by the newcomers, who became known as the Thirty-Five New Guys (TFNG).

    In order to film this they would have had to placed cameras in many locations. And what, were they motion sensor cameras? what about the electrical cords? Remember this is way back in the day, I don't want any morons trying to claim they were remote wireless in the comments. Its all bullshit, at about 4:56 the two astro- nots were being filmed from long distance and then one of them runs off and the camera pans right and follows him in perfect frame. Where did they find room for the camara man on the LEM?

    I get that some people think we somehow faked the moon landings. Even Appllo 13, they think that somehow that was faked. My question to them is simple. It's been over 50 years. Don't you think that someone would have talked? All the astronauts, mission control personnel, workers at Houston and Kennedy Space Center, not to mention all the thousands and thousands of Saturn V contractors in Huntsville, Alabama, and all over the country. NO ONE TALKED. How do you explain that?

    It's like... any death would have been tragic in NASA. Every single person that flies has put in the work to get there and is a very special person. So not to diminish anybody else. But... why did this have to happen to Christa. What a pure soul. Listen to your engineers, NASA.

    It only be no contest on the singleiest plane if the cost and time to manufacture was less per operating hour than the multi-use plane. Otherwise multi-use or single use would be unconsequential to the equation generally. However, most of the equipment on the aircraft can be used multiple times with a probability of efficiency that's going to warrant the risk that you're not using something brand new that was literally only tested and operated once the time it was tested😅 but there are different technologies you wouldn't want to use a rocket in order to get to the asteroid belt. I almost said saucer😅 lol very few people know how the saucer works so that would be unconsequential

  • @gsc512
    @gsc512 Місяць тому

    But as far as outcome-based procurement, it should be outcome-based origination of ideas and or companies because a lot of companies are exploiting this within the United States, military and government organizations. You paid for the technology so why would you let the company own the technology? And also you know that there's going to be revisions to the original plan so if they can't design it modular then they should get punished for it not rewarded because they say they have to delay the project

  • @gsc512
    @gsc512 Місяць тому

    If you control space and you control space technology, you could bankrupt any Nation on this planet. If they invest in gold you bring down enough gold that they can pave the roads in it. Like the Bible says in heaven as it is on Earth. The asteroid belt has so much raw material that it would make anything that you invested in on this planet worthless if another country understood how to get to it and bring it back to here. So if you invested in gold, there won't be enough gold on this planet as far as rarity to offset what they could bring in to move it towards a worthless commodity. So if gold was $1,600 an ounce and you knew your adversary bought in, you could bring it from space for probably $100 an ounce with the correct technology. Thus bankrupting any adversary that would stand against you. And the more raw material that you could bring in the more ahead of any other culture you're going to get. And it's not about anything but efficiency of operations. And there's only one way to achieve this well in my opinion. But what's an opinion?.. lol 😂 but if I had the audit my opinion, I would say that taking meetings for admirals in Pensacola was probably a validity to an opinion
